 PROJECTS

UPDATE: February 8, 2010 Emma Eau Fraiche by Laura Ashley Perfume Recreation Project.

Hello everyone,

today I am going to start with the not so good news. We recently had one of our original EMMA perfume participants withdrawal her perfume from our project.  Considering that we held the perfume for since 2008 and weren't able to bring the project to completion by now, I completely understand her desire to have her perfume back.

That said, the good news is that everyone else is still desirous for us to continue the project, but I can not say enough that we seriously need higher levels of participation, so please email your friends and let them know about the project and tell them that we now need about 4 more ounces of the perfume. Be sure to ask them to email us at martecci@cox.net and ask to be put on our contact list and let us know if they have any of the perfume they would like to pledge toward the project.

For those who would like to try a perfume similar to EMMA scent, I would recommend CHARLOTTE, And you can find out more about it below.

Thanks,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: October 18, 2009 Emma Eau Fraiche by Laura Ashley Perfume Recreation Project

We have had several contacts informing us that they saw EMMA for sale. However, we have had any other contributors to the EMMA by Laura Ashley project. This still means we still need about 3 oz of the original perfume before we can initiate the next phase of the project.  That said, I am quite concerned that if we can't get what we need to enter into the next phase of the project  before year's end that one or more of the current contributors will back out.  So, if you truly are an EMMA fan, and you have some of the original perfume and it still smells great, then I would encourage you to contact me at martecci@cox.net and tell me that you want to participate in the project.  If you don't have any of the EMMA perfume just ask to be placed on our contact list.

For those that have inquired for great alternatives for EMMA, I will be updating this page to offer samples of HANNA, AND JENNA  soon. I am hopeful that I can get that done by the end of October 2009.  That said, you still can order CHARLOTTE  here. I also have a sample size and several concentration options for the 1 ounce bottle below.

CHARLOTTE BY MARTECCI; 3 SAMPLES, 2ML EACH

1 OUNCE (30ML) CHARLOTTE PERFUME

UPDATE: August 10, 2009 Emma Eau Fraiche by Laura Ashley Perfume Recreation Project; edit 10/18/2009

please help us help you.

a portion of the sale of CHARLOTTE  by martecci's goes toward  maintenance of this site & financing  our EMMA by Laura Ashley Perfume Recreation PROJECT!!!

CHARLOTTE by MARTECCI'S PERFUME SAMPLES

*For those who are wanting to reorder larger sizes etc, other sizes and options for CHARLOTTE can be purchased under the update of July 10, 2009 (down below).

For those that have inquired, HANNA and JENNA will also be available soon. Right now I am tweaking them and testing them out, but I am hoping they will be available next year, if not earlier).  For those who haven't heard, like CHARLOTTE, these 2 perfumes are being designed using the commonly reported generic note information as reported to be in EMMA by Laura Ashley. I think of them as sisters to EMMA; or as if EMMA were their mother.

Part of the reason I created these scents is because of the difficulty we're having in procuring more of the EMMA perfume. We need to have enough of the good smelling EMMA perfume to use several pieces of equipment to analyze it (more info on this under updates of January 2008).  Anyhow, I hope I will be able to update this page with samples offering of HANNA and JENNA sometime relatively soon.

For those who enjoyed wearing Laura Ashley No. 2, I feel l may attempt to create similarly themed perfumes and use what little I have o the original to compare it to. Of course if you have several big bottles of the Original, I ay just be able to use our GS machine etc to recreate it, but it doesn't feel that that will be an option due to the rarity of the scent. Anyhow, if you are interested in trying samples when they become available, and possibly proposing some names, please email me at martecci@cox.net

For the few of you who have asked about Dilys, we don't have any of the original perfume, but if you do have some, please contact me.

In closing, I guess I will just say that if you have any amount of the EMMA perfume that still smells good, or any Laura Ashley No. 2, or Dilys, or even if you just want to be put on our contact list about these projects, just email me at marteci@cox.net.

Oh yeah don't forget to bookmark this site, and to possibly email our link to your friends.  Anything else you can do to help with this project would also of course be much appreciated by perfume fans everywhere.

Thanks,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: July 24, 2009 Emma Eau Fraiche by Laura Ashley Perfume Recreation Project

Notes: Edited August 10, 2009: acknowledgements, and minor details.

The short of the matter is that we have about 5 ounces of EMMA Eau Fraiche that are in great smelling condition. That means we still need a minimum of 3 more ounces of EMMA to meet our goal so we can proceed to the next phase of our project.  If you have some EMMA and are interested in participating in our project, email me at martecci@cox.net.

We have already recreated two other of the Laura Ashley perfumes and you can navigate to them from our home page.

For those who are tracking the development of this project, this update relates to the EMMA perfume we mentioned we received from "Angela from KY," in the update on July 11, 2009. the perfume she sent came in a clear glass splash bottle with and "E" on the cap.  It had slightly less than an ounce of the EMMA Eau Fraiche in it. After corresponding with her, it was learned that she was unsure of its condition, but knew it was her mother's favorite perfume.  She found the bottle as she was cleaning out a storage area.  I am not sure if this was a storage bin or someplace in her house or garage.  Anyhow, we reached an agreement and she sent the perfume to us and we sent her a sample of my CHARLOTTE perfume (mentioned in the update made below on July 10, 2009).

After the perfume arrived, I arranged for two ladies who knew the scent to participate in testing it. Based upon feedback we received by "Jennifer S. from NJ" and "Sara M., PA, USA,". we have determined that the scent did not meet our expectations.

These are some of their remarks on this specimen:

Jennifer S. from NJ said (edited for brevity by permission),

"...You do not know how thrilled I was to discover that you had an EMMA perfume project  in effect. And I really appreciate this opportunity you have given me to participate in this project.

... in relation to the perfume you sent me to test, I definitely can say that it smells like it has "gone bad" for the most part.  I am sorry, but that is my honest opinion.  I bought a bottle that smelled like this sample off of eBay several years ago so I appreciate the fact that you let me know you questioned the scent's integrity and wanted to give me an opportunity to test it out.

...[W]hen I smelled it at first, it reminded me of nail polish. I am not of course any kind of expert, but I think there is a problem with the top and middle notes (or something like that) with the sample you sent me. I think you understand what I mean.

Anyhow, recognizing me is really nor important but if you decide to do so you can recognize me, if you want, as Jennifer S. from NJ.

...Lastly, I wish to give you some good news!!!. I simply LOVED the sample of CHARLOTTE and I will be ordering a bottle of it soon. It' simply closet thing to EMMA that I have ever tried and I think you have a sure winner on your hands. I am simply amazed about how much it reminds me of EMMA!!! As I am picky about what I wear, I would almost say I like it as much as EMMA and maybe even more!!!  Anyhow, let me know when you have a CHARLOTTE lotion available and if you have plans to create a dry oil pray for it. I'll be one of your first customer for sure.

Sara M., PA, USA said,

"Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. The sample arrived  the day before I was to leave for a ten-day vacation and I did not have a chance to try it then.

I have since done so and I believe there is something to work with.  My initial reaction on applying the sample was negative: an overwhelming sharp, sour alcohol scent. This may have been because of the age of the sample.  However, after the "dry down," as you put it, the Emma fragrance I remember emerged. It was more intense and concentrated than I remember, again perhaps because of age. I recall Emma as being lighter and fresher; I always used it as a summer fragrance. That true Emma essence faded somewhat rapidly as I wore it. After about an hour it did not have the same character.

Hope this helps your work.  Thanks again."

Well, there you have it. We still need more of the EMMA perfume...that still smells good!!!.

As to recreating Laura Ashley No. 2 or Dilys, you should we have not had many requests for them and so we are not sure we will make projects for them at this time. But even though we are focusing on the EMMA perfume project, feel free to request participation in projects for these other two scents by emailing me at martecci@cox.net .

Oh yeah, "Angela from KY," who sent in her used bottle of EMMA requested that I exchange it out for a bottle of CHARLOTTE and stated that she would be interested in sample of HANNA and JENNA once they are released. So, what can I say? That makes me feel good!

Sincerely,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: July 11, 2009

We received another (used) bottle of EMMA last week, but it is being evaluated by some third party participants and I am awaiting feedback about its fitness for use in the project.

UPDATE: July 10, 2009

As I  have recently made an update concerning our EMMA PERFUME PROJECT (down below), I am not going to do so now because  there is nothing really new to add. I am just going to talk about what many ladies seem to enjoy as a really good perfume alternative to EMMA, namely CHARLOTTE, a perfume that I have tweaked, based on feedback, several times now. .

That said,  it has been a task to try to develop a perfume that would compete with EMMA by Laura Ashley, so I appreciate everyone who has emailed me and provided feedback and comments about it.  As you can imagine, developing a scent to have a broad range of acceptance is truly a "big chore" so your comments, suggestions, and, of course,  requests for more of CHARLOTTE have been such a joy.

So, now due to the various requests and recommendations for other concentrations and options of this tweaked scent,  I am now offering sample packs and 1 ounce bottles (HURRAY!!!).

As for the2 sample packs, they includes three different concentration options and the price set up is BUY TWO SAMPLES GET ONE FREE. The only basic similarity is that both sample packs have the CHARLOTTE EAU FRAICHE. (If you need to understand the difference between the different concentrations mentioned below, please review our Fragrance Strengths page).

The first sample pack contains (1)  CHARLOTTE EAU FRAICHE, (1) CHARLOTTE EAU DE COLOGNE, and (1) CHARLOTTE EAU DE TOILETTE.   Each of the mini atomizers of these samples are 2 ml.

The second sample pack contains   (1) CHARLOTTE EAU FRAICHE, (1) CHARLOTTE COLOGNE and (1) CHARLOTTE EAU DE PARFUM. (If shipping will be to a non-USA address, please see our ABOUT MARTECCI'S page under international orders.  We do not deliver to Germany, Italy, or France, so, if that is you, try to make arrangements with a  friend or family member in a surrounding country, in the UK, Sweden, Poland, etc, to receive the package. I would need their address. Email me at martecci@cox.net if you have any questions).

CHARLOTTE BY MARTECCI; 3 SAMPLES, 2ML EACH

And, as the most requested option was for the 1 ounce bottle of CHARLOTTE, here are the 4 concentration options. Now you ladies can order it online at your leisure without emailing me for it (unless you still want to).

CHARLOTTE PERFUME FOR WOMEN BY MARTECCI

1 OUNCE (30ML) CHARLOTTE PERFUME

tweaks doing a market test. This time around, I plan on utilizing the suggestions I received about CHARLOTTE and release sample packs this time around. This is a better method to help you chose a ideal concentration for you.   It is sometimes simply amazing to hear how a difference in the concentration of a scent determines one's opinion as to its likableness.

(Please remember that the sale of these samples also help us finances various aspects of the LAURA ASHLEY PERFUME PROJECT).

And finally, as to our project for EMMA by Laura Ashley, it looks like the June 30th post below reflects the current state of affairs for our project.

Well, If you have any questions, or suggestions, please feel free to let me know at martecci@cox.net.  I'd love to help out in any way I can.

Sincerely,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: June 30, 2009

THE GOOD NEWS:  ‘EMMA FROM AUSTRALIA" (as she desired to be identified) has contributed approximately ONE MORE OUNCE of the EMMA Eau Fraiche to the project. That means that we now need just about three more ounces of the EMMA Eau Fraiche before we can begin the prepay and our recreation work.

THE NOT SO GOOD NEWS: If we don't get what we need to start the pre-pay aspect of the project by early on next year, I will have to return some of the perfume that was contributed to go toward the project, so please ladies, help get the word out about his project and do what you can to make it a reality because since Bernard (Laura's husband) died earlier this year, this may be your one and only opportunity to have someone (us) do something about it.

THE SORT OF BAD NEWS:  One of our contacts decided to sell one of their one ounce bottles on the grandfather of auctions sites. Considering the tough economic times, I completely understand. Anyhow, this contact may still  have some more bottles of the original, but has not got back with me.  The other contact I alluded to down below hasn't returned my emails, but I was under the impression she was in the process of moving, so she may contact me once she settles in.

Please review the last several updates below.

Smiles,

UPDATE: May 31, 2009

Before I get into the EMMA Perfume Project, I would lie to say that I appreciate the feedback that I have received on the  alternative EMMA perfume recommendation mentioned in my previous update. Based on the what feedback I have received, I feel that I will be considering some more recommendations, while also keeping the one previously mentioned (CHARLOTTE) available for those who really liked it.

Anyhow, it has been a while since I have made an update on the EMMA EAU FRAICHE project, so here it is.

We have had 2 or 3 other EMMA fans contact us within roughly the last two months , and indicated that they still had some EMMA perfume that still smelled good.  They indicated an interest in the project, but it seems that they are unwilling to participate/negotiate/contribute to the EMMA perfume project.  I made two follow up attempts with them and did not get any decisive response.  So, I will try to contact them via email in June 2009 and hopefully they will respond and some kind of arrangement can be made.

For those that are interested, I am willing to trade a fair amount of any of my own original perfumes, or a fair amount of my premium grade perfume recreations that I call  Martecci Version perfumes, like our Laura Ashley No. 1 perfume, in some kind of negotiable exchange.

Further, as this project is taking longer than anticipated to reach completion, I am concerned that there is not enough true demand for the perfume and am considering a termination date should the demand and interest not increase.  I realize it has been off the market for a good long while so most people, I presume, have given up looking for it. So, what this means in practical terms is that every EMMA perfume fan who reads this section should to contact me (martecci@cox.net) and request me to put them on our contact list for the project.  Additionally, if you are an EMMA by Laura Ashley perfume fan, and you actually have some of the original perfume and it still smells great, please let me know and let me know if you wish to exchange it out for any of my other products, or for more EMMA should we successfully recreate it, like I have done for over a 1,000 different perfumes/colognes so far.

And finally, there is something else you can also do the help this project.  Please email all your friends and tell them about it. You can also make mention of this project on your personal web space, or in your outgoing email signature lines, or on Facebook, or Youtube, and so on.  If the EMMA PERFUME IS IMPORTANT TO YOU, then DO NOT ASSUME someone else will do these things, as most people will not.

Well, once again, thank you for your interest and for helping to get the word out.

Smiles,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: NOVEMBER 19, 2008 (minor update December 2008)

Two things today by way of updates and recommendations.

First, I really appreciate the feedback and response we have been receiving from EMMA perfume fans on our CHARLOTTE MARTECCI PERFUME, so to cut down on the number of emails we've been receiving (due primarily to our previous update) and to streamline the ordering process a bit more, I would encourage Emma perfume fans to pamper themselves with CHARLOTTE MARTECCI, which is offered in the cart down below.  Both the EDT and EDP (lasts longer) concentrations are being offered. The scent has some wonderful natural notes to it, and I do think you will love it. (If shipping will be to a non-USA address, please see our ABOUT MARTECCI'S page under international orders.  Qualifying international orders will be sent a separate invoice to cover the costs of s&h. We do not deliver to Germany, Italy, or France, so, if that is you, try to make arrangements with a  friend or family member in a surrounding country, in the UK, Sweden, Poland, etc, to receive the package. I would need their address. email me at martecci@cox.net if you have any questions).

(By the way, a portion of the sale of CHARLOTTE  (HANNA and JENNA will also be available soon, along with some other recommendations) goes toward helping us finance the EMMA PROJECT!!!)

CHARLOTTE MARTECCI PERFUME SAMPLE

Secondly, the only thing that has changed related to the EMMA project since my last update is that I have had one lady that indicated that she would be willing to part with a part of her perfume for the project, but didn't want to contribute all of it.  I have followed up with her, but she has yet to contact me again, and so she may have decided against it. I know you really can't blame her and neither do I. This perfume is really a personal scent for many ladies and this scenario seems to happen quite a bit with this project. Just pray that someone who is serious about the project will contact me and will be willing to contribute to the project and become a part of perfume history.  We really need to have as much of the original Emma perfume as we can to do the best work, especially since most of what is out there is the Eau Fraiche, so please help get the word out.

Smiles,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2008

Hello Laura Ashley perfume fan. Just so you know we are still needing several more ounces of the original Emma by Laura Ashley perfume in order for us to continue with the project.  We are also needing more willing pre-payers for when that aspect of the project goes into motion. Please help us get the word out about our projects; anything you could do will work to speed things up.

In lieu of us recreating the EMMA by Laura Ashley scent, I would now strongly urge you to try my new perfume called CHARLOTTE MARTECCI.  Right now, it is by request only. Just email me at martecci@cox.net and let me know you would like a sample. (2 ml EDT CHARLOTTE samples are $14.95 plus s&h)..

If you have any information on this perfume or any others, please let us know.

Thanks again for checking in on the latest news and updates on the Laura Ashley Scent Projects.

Smiles,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: July 16, 2008

We recently opened our ebay store and put up several listings for several bargain priced Laura Ashley No. 1 eau de parfum (MV) to try and draw in more Laura Ashley perfume fans and generate more notice to our Emma perfume project. We expected a greater interest than what we have initially received on both, but it may take a while before we see the results we really need.

We also put up a separate listing  to draw attention to the EMMA project.

As to the EMMA perfume project, since all the specimens we have are of the eau fraiche, we feel we need to have about 2 more ounces of the original before I feel we can proceed further with the project, which mainly consists of obtaining a sufficient number of pre-payers.

So, if you have some EMMA, let me know.  And if you know someone who does, please let them know about us and the project. Feel free to send them our email address: martecci@cox.net.

For those who have inquired about our Laura Ashley No. 3 Limited Edition (MV), it seems that Emma lovers love the No. 3 eau fraiche or eau de cologne more than they like the eau de parfum, which they say is too strong or too loud.  Of those that love Laura Ashley No. 1 (MV), just over 50% of them who also have tried the LAN3 (MV) samples we sent with their orders, also love it. The samples were either eau de toilette or eau de parfum.

Best,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: May 05, 2008 (edited May 28, 2008)

GOOD NEWS LAURA ASHLEY PERFUME FANS! With the help of another contributor, Diane from VA, (Hi Diane!) we are getting closer to our our goal! We still need more of the Emma eau fraiche perfume that still smells great. If we could get a stronger concentration, we may need less, but as it is, since the eau fraiche is considered the lightest concentration, we will need more of it.

Please don't forget that we have recreated the Laura Ashley No. 1 and the little known, but very lovely, Laura Ashley No. 3 Limited Edition.   The basenotes site doesn't have any information on EMMA nor this scent and the contributor and several of the pre-payers do not have much information about it. Nonetheless, it's here and it's wonderful as ever. So be sure to get yours along with our Laura Ashley No. 1 (MV) and spoil and pamper yourself with today.

UPDATE: May 01, 2008

Just so you know, one of the EMMA specimen contributors (Karen C. of Texas) verified my opinion that the quality of one of the EMMA specimens I procured at auction was not essentially good enough to work with.  [She also ordered a sample of PROMISE RING (here is a review that mentions this scent)  perfume for women by Martecci's (not on my site), and really likes it]. This means we still need some good EMMA to come our way.

Thanks,

UPDATE: APRIL 15, 2008

We still need more EMMA and pre-payers to initiate the EMMA project. I decided that it would be best to go with what what my other contributors said about the quality of their specimen and determined that the other specimens I procured at auction were "bad" or there is the slight possibility that the scent had two different formulations). The one I obtained at auction seemed to be "lighter" or possibly some notes "went bad."

In sum, this means that I still need to procure another original specimen of EMMA to help make this dream a reality for you all..

Thanks,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: APRIL 09, 2008

  • We still need more Laura Ashley No. 2 ( about 1/2 oz or more) and pre-payers to initiate the LAN2 project.
  • Laura Ashley No. 3  Limited Edition MV will be available next week probably by Friday, April 18---in my book MAYBE better than LAN1 (MV) (if you can believe that) and equally rated by me in comparison to EMMA as a  10 (my mom will love this for Mother's Day! From what I understand, only a few thousand ladies ever got to buy the original so it's basically an unknown scent to the majority of Laura Ashley perfume fans.  So ladies, treat yourself to something wonderful in the fragrance world and be grateful to a lady named Emily out of Dallas, Texas for playing a large part in making this happen!  THANKS EMILY!!!
  • We still need more EMMA and pre-payers to initiate the EMMA project. As said down below, we anticipate we will be sending a small amount of the original we have to contributors to verify the quality of each of the specimens.  Two of the specimens we have procured are really in question and I just want to make sure it the issue is more due to concentration and not due to spoilage.
  • We have not had enough requests for Dilys and L'eau to consider them for replication yet. We do not have any of the Original either, so if you interested in these, and have some of the original that still smells good, be sure to let me know at martecci@cox.net.

Thanks,

UPDATE: MARCH 13, 2008

We were able to recently procure 2 specimens of the Original EMMA.  One of them was definitely of inferior quality.   The other may be usable. And I feel we should be able to initiate some testing soon.

Before doing any analysis, I will send out small samples of the original to 3 individuals that I have already contacted to make sure these originals are satisfactory to be used, and for other quality control reasons.

I will likely send out these samples in mid March. I will need the participants to get back with me with their assessments asap so I know how to proceed.

If the feedback gives us the results we need, we should be able to proceed further with analysis, testing, and offering the pre-pay.

I will hopefully be in the situation to initiate the pre-pay in late March or early April.

It would be nice to be able initiate the pre-pay as soon as we can, but I want to make sure we have great smelling specimens to work with.

Thanks,

UPDATE: JANUARY 30TH, 2008

GOOD NEWS. GOOD NEWS. GOOD NEWS. Laura Ashley No. 2 perfume lovers, an anonymous contributor, who by the way also helped out with the EMMA project, sent in two great smelling minis to go toward the Laura Ashley No. 2 Project.

We also have a lead with the EMMA project and still need more pre-payers.  The EMMA Project will be commenced in  before the Laura Ashley No. 2 project. It is a toss in the air at this point to see which one will go first between the Laura Ashley No. 3 LIMITED EDITION and EMMA Projects.  We may be able to do both basically at about the same time. We shall see!!!

UPDATE: JANUARY 27TH, 2008

We have had only several recent request for Laura Ashley No. 2 perfume and believe it or not zero requests for Dilys by Laura Ashley to be recreated. If you are interested in having us masterfully recreate either of these scents, please give us an email with your request and then help spread the word, and  help us obtain about an ounce of a good smelling original for either one of these scent.

The Laura Ashley No. 3 Limited Edition still needs a few more interested pre-payers, but the good news is that we are almost ready to GO with it!!!

We still need to obtain about a 1/2 ounce of the original of EMMA and obtain more pre-payers.

Best,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: JANUARY 14TH, 2008

If you are an EMMA FAN and have some of the scent left, rest assured if we get another roughly 1/2 ounce of the original scent in great smelling condition, we can recreate it and you will simply love it.

How can we do that? Below is a picture of a gas chromatograph with a headspace sampler.

What is it? It is one of the pieces of equipment that can be used in recreating scents.

How does it work? Or, what does it do? Brace yourself for a somewhat technical, brief, but not overly detailed explanation.

To begin with, a gas chromatograph is a chemical analysis instrument for separating chemicals in a complex sample. A gas chromatograph uses a flow-through narrow tube known as the column, through which different chemical constituents of a sample pass (about one ounce or more) in a gas stream (carrier gas, mobile phase) at different rates depending on their various chemical and physical properties and their interaction with a specific column filling, called the stationary phase. As the chemicals exit the end of the column, they are detected and identified electronically. The function of the stationary phase in the column is to separate different components, causing each one to exit the column at a different time (retention time). Other parameters that can be used to alter the order or time of retention are the carrier gas flow rate, and the temperature.

In a GC analysis, a known volume of gaseous or liquid analyte is injected into the "entrance" (head) of the column, usually using a microsyringe (or, solid phase microextraction fibers, or a gas source switching system). As the carrier gas sweeps the analyte molecules through the column, this motion is inhibited by the adsorption of the analyte molecules either onto the column walls or onto packing materials in the column. The rate at which the molecules progress along the column depends on the strength of adsorption, which in turn depends on the type of molecule and on the stationary phase materials. Since each type of molecule has a different rate of progression, the various components of the analyte mixture are separated as they progress along the column and reach the end of the column at different times (retention time). A detector is used to monitor the outlet stream from the column; thus, the time at which each component reaches the outlet and the amount of that component can be determined. Generally, substances are identified (qualitatively) by the order in which they emerge (elute) from the column and by the retention time of the analyte in the column.

So, the bottom line is that once we have about 1/2 ounce more of EMMA, we more or less have a "green light" to proceed with the pre-pay process and set the "ball in motion."

So, if you have some EMMA, let me know.  And if you know someone who does, please let them know about us and the project. Feel free to send them our email address: martecci@cox.net.

Best,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: JANUARY 11TH, 2008

Though we still need about a half ounce of EMMA and more pre-payers, etc, I have a client who says she has a nearly full bottle the Limited Edition of Laura Ashley No. 3 eau de toilette that she received as a gift.

She says it is rarer than EMMA and the other Laura Ashley scents and has confirmed with me that it is NOT Laura Ashley No. 2.  She says that it was not sold in all the stores and she is willing to "pony up" with the remainder of it (which is over an ounce...yeah!!!)  because of a trade agreement we've made, and her satisfaction with our Laura Ashley No. 1 (M.V.).  If you know more about the Laura Ashley No. 3 LIMITED EDITION scent and which store(s)/ or areas it was sold in, please let me know so I can pass the information along as necessary. Limited Edition scents are sometime difficult to keep track of to say the least.

So, if you are interested in having the Laura Ashley No. 3 scent, let me know! I don't need any specimens; I just need pre-payers to make the scent available again!!! YEAH!!!  The first person to respond will get a special deal of buy 2 get one FREE, the next five will get another special deal, the next 10 will get another special deal. Contact me at martecci@cox.net and let me know you want to participate.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Jolly January!!!

UPDATE: DECEMBER 22, 2007

Hello EMMA Perfume Fan,

I now have approximately 19 ml of the EMMA EAU FRAICHE for the Project.   The specimen came as an unexpected gift from a new friend and fan.  This wonderful contributor provided a nearly full mini AND an approximately half full mini. (The minis, as I access them, are eau fraiche concentration.  A full EMMA mini is a dram in capacity. A dram is basically 3.75 mls. For various reason I feel that I will not be using the half filled mini).  Since 30 ml is a necessary minimum for replication, I still need roughly 11 mls (1/3 oz is about 10 mls) more of the  EMMA perfume in any concentration, plus more willing pre-payers, in order to be ready to begin the process.

We are not far away from our EMMA specimen goal, but we still ask all you EMMA fans to get the word out on this project to all your friends, family, acquaintances...or any other EMMA perfume lover. Just tell them to contact us at our email address at martecci@cox.net. And feel free to send them a copy of the link above as that will take them directly to this page.

Merry Christmas,

Lance Snider

UPDATE: December 16, 2007

Hello EMMA Perfume Fan,

As I have already successfully replicated thousands of scents, including the Laura Ashley No. 1 scent, if all goes well, EMMA will be next in line to be replicated in 2008. With regard to EMMA, our intentions are to replicate the scent to match the top, heart, and base notes to the highest degree possible.  Once complete, I will be able to prepare the scent “FRESHER THAN FRESH” in any concentration you desire.

In order to replicate most any scent, we first need to procure a minimum of 1 ounce of the original specimen to use in the process and a sufficient number of pre-payers. Once the replication process begins, the specimen is destroyed in the process. The process normally takes about 8 or so weeks.

As of December 05, 2007, we have procured slightly less than 1/2 ounce of the original EMMA EAU FRAICHE under a trade agreement with a wonderful lady named Karen C. from Texas. We now need 1/2 ounce more of the EMMA eau fraiche or stronger concentration.  And, of course, we also need committed pre-payers to commence with the EMMA replication process.  As our desire is to be able to begin in January/February 2008, I will need someone from the EMMA fans base to made a trade agreement with me for their Original great smelling specimen.  I also need a sufficient number of EMMA fans to demonstrate demand by showing a willingness to prepay to set the project in motion.

If you would be interested in trading any portion of a good smelling specimen of the original EMMA perfume in any concentration you may have remaining, or can obtain, just email me and let me know what you would consider an equitable or fair exchange for our EMMA replication once complete, or as a fair exchange for our other scent offerings (like our LAN1), let me know. and I’ll usually respond within 1 business day (with few exceptions).

If you are interested in participating in the pre-pay, let me know how many 1 oz bottles you would want to prepay for, and at what concentration. The more bottles you plan to order above three units will get better pricing. No reasonable offers refused. On a recent auction on EBay, a 1 ounce Eau Fraiche went for $490 (See "P.S." below).

Once we procure sufficient amount of the original to work with, and have enough pre-payers, we will be sending out advance notices to those who have indicated a sincere willingness to prepay.

Remittance for the pre-pay offer can be made via PayPal with your credit card or your debit/check card in the equivalent USD amount. All pre-payers must have a PayPal confirmed shipping address.  If you do not desire to prepay via PayPal, or do not have a confirmed PayPal shipping address, other methods may be/ or may have to be used (see About Seller for more details), but, as they do pose a risk to both you and us, we will not take personal checks.

To streamline the process as best as we can, invoices will be sent out on the designated day mentioned in the advance notice. A second chance to upgrade, etc your prepay offer may be mentioned in the notice. Once invoices are issued via PayPal, participants will have 7 days to make remittance.  The replication process will then likely commence on the following week.

If everything works out as we desire, we will likely commence replication of the EMMA scent using a quality specimen in January/February. Just “keep your fingers crossed” that we will have enough EMMA fans, including your self, to participate to make the project a wonderful success!

One thing you can do to help out is to get the word out on this to all your friends, family, acquaintances...or any EMMA perfume lover. Just tell them to contact us at our email address at martecci@cox.net.

Sincerely,

Lance Snider

business OPPORTUNITIES

If you are interested in having us replicate another scent that you simply love, whether or not it has  been discontinued, let us know with an email to martecci@cox.netPlace "Replication Department" in the SUBJECT line.

The biggest thing we need at first is a minimum of1 ounce (30 ML) of a great smelling original specimen to work with.  It usually is better that I have more, and for the lighter concentrations, I may need 4 to 6 oz. Discontinued perfumes must be provided by someone or several people in the scent's fan base.

  • State if you will be providing the perfume/cologne specimen.

  • State any fragrance note information you have on the scent and the name of the original manufacturer.

  • Mention the quantity and capacity of bottles you want and the fragrance concentration you desire.

If we take up the project, it will take around 8 weeks, maybe up to 12 weeks. Specimen will be destroyed. Other risks may come into play.

As for price quotes, each scent is different due to fragrance notes used, procedures involved, and other factors.

If you have  a business interest for the replication, furnish your business information and state your requirements. If the scent is for you personally, let us know the information above as well.
