If you are interested in having us replicate another scent that you simply love, whether or not it has been discontinued, let us know with an email to martecci@cox.net. Place "Replication Department" in the SUBJECT line, along with the name of the scent.
The biggest thing we need at first is a minimum of 1 ounce to 8 oz. of a great smelling original specimen to work with. It usually is better that I have more than one ounce, and for the lighter concentrations, I may need 4 to 8 oz. Discontinued perfumes must be provided by you or others in the scent's fan base. We will then need a sufficient number of willing pre-payers to make the project work.
Please realize that getting the word out about a project is one thing. It is quite another to generate response. It may take a while (maybe 6 months to several years) before enough people respond to the project. Once we have enough pre-payers and enough of the original specimen, we will proceed with the next phase of the project. Once our recreation efforts commence, the project it will take around 8 weeks, maybe up to 16 weeks, before it reaches completion. Scent specimen (s) used will be destroyed. Other risks may come into play.
As for price quotes, each scent is different due to fragrance notes used, procedures involved, and other factors. However, if we are willing to cover 90% of the costs, the remaining 10% must come from the fan base (even if that is just you). There are several reason for this, but the most important is this amount will generally help us know that there is enough demand to pursue the venture. To give you an idea of pricing, based upon experience for a low volume yield, that 10% usually falls in the $750 to $2,500 USD price range, with most scents falling somewhere in between that range. The scents that have a higher percentage of "natural" ingredients, tend to be more expensive, and some even fall outside of that range. Notes that are rare or hard to come by, tend to also be more expensive. So, once again, as for a price quote, nothing accurate can be given until we know what we are dealing with and so forth.
One last thing, if you have a business interest for the replication, furnish your business information and state your requirements. If the scent is for you personally, let us know the information above as well.
